All interested are welcome

This workshop is for any postgraduate or final year who has to give a presentation, in the seminar or conference environment.  Our focus is NOT the mathematics; instead, we want to identify the common mistakes that students usually make in their first presentaion including

  • sense of time
  • good poster vs bad poster
  • creating understanding of your work
  • Interacting with the ‘audience’

The workshop will include five invited talks:

  • KWOK, Ting On
    Adaptive meshless RBF collocation method for solving modified Helmholtz equations

  • LING, Man Ho
    Full Friendly index sets of Cartesian Product of two cycles

  • WANG, Ling
    Homogeneity tests for several Poisson populations

  • LIAO, Haiyong
    Construction of large-scale linkage disequilibrium maps based on constrained unidimensional nonnegative scaling model

  • LEUNG, King Tai
    Effective use of low resolution images for super-resolution reconstruction

By the end of this workshop, overall feedback will be given help you prepare your own effective presentaion.
