Workshop on Matrix Computations
in Memory of Professor Gene Golub

29 February 2012
Hong Kong Baptist University

On Professor Gene Golub's 20th birthday, we would like to organize a workshop to celebrate his life. Gene visited Hong Kong and Mainland China many times, and had a close relationship with the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU). At HKBU, he received an honorary doctorate in 2002 and accepted a 3-year position as Distinguished Professor in 2007. The University set up an Institute for Computational Mathematics (ICM) to prepare for Gene's assumption of duty in January 2008.
