- At the 50th Anniversary Thanksgiving Service, held on February 28, 2006, Dr C.S. Tong, received the President's Award for Outstanding Performance in recognition of his service to the University from Prof C.F. Ng, President and Vice-chancellor. He was one of eighteen teaching staff presented with the President's Award in 2006. This was in fact the second President's Award for Dr. C. S.
