Advances in Integral Equation Methods
Organized by Jingtang Ma and Thanh Tran
Rationale
Considerable progresses have been made in the last
decade in the research of boundary integral equations and Volterra
functional integral equations. In particular, FEM-BEM coupling has
been efficiently used to solve many demanding problems in physics
and engineering, e.g. electro-magnetic scattering problems and contact
problems. Numerical solutions of Volterra functional integral equations
have proved to be powerful in tackling problems in population dynamics.
The talks in this minisymposium will reflect on recent developments
in the topics. This will be a good forum for active researchers
in the field to exchange ideas and discuss future trends.
We have invited several active researchers from
different countries to speak in the minisymposium.
