Objective:

The Workshop on Applied Mathematics & Statistics was established to promote collaborative research exchanges between the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) and the National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU). Based on our common interests in carrying out and facilitating our collaborative research initiatives and trainings, the first of this workshop series was held in 7-10 April, 2007 at the NSYSU (programme/itinerary). The purpose of the second of this workshop series is to further facilitate mutual cooperation in educational programs and research activities and the exchange of technical and scientific information, expertise and personnel.
