Café Mathématique is a series of informal gatherings dedicated to sharing ideas by connecting prospective and current students, alumni, professors, and the community. This time, we want to connect you,

our BSc students
to
out MATH alumni.

The first speaker is one of our 2015 graduates Mr. Wesley Lau, who currently working in an advertising company. He will share his stories after school and the experience of working in advertising, an interesting and eye-opening industry, though seemingly unrelated, yet deeply connected to your Mathematics and Statistics skills.

The second speaker is an alumnus studied Statistics & Operations Research, Karen, currently working in Microsoft Hong Kong and parallelly doing her startup on biotech, she previously worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch as summer Technology Analyst. She original entered Baptist University in Communication School, graduated from Math department with a double minor in Computer Science & Finance. She is a "hackathon-savvy" - from MEMSI ( the MIT Entrepreneurship and Maker Skills Integrator ) to hackHarvard. During her time in coursework, she also found herself enjoying organizing events to gather more think tanks to work on challenging problems - she was the event lead of GSF (Global Solutions Festival) and Binance SAFU Hong Kong Pre-hackathon.
