Café Mathématique

Join us for an informal evening of
An Introduction to Trading and Banking for Job Seekers
Cyrus Yeung, Trader of HSBC

Café Mathématique is a series of informal gatherings dedicated to sharing ideas by connecting prospective and current students, alumni, professors, and the community. This time, we want to connect you,

our BSc students
to
a young successful math alumni.

The Math Department is proud to present a talk by our 07 alumni Mr. Cyrus Yeung, who will provide some insight into the world of fixed income trading and equities private banking. Contrary to the popular misconception, one can actually find a way to success in the financial sector without being the absolute best academically, and Cyrus will share with you his own path to a rewarding career without a straight-A transcript.

Are you still wondering what you can achieve after graduation? Are you interested in a career in finance? Cyrus will tell you all about a trader’s daily life and what it takes to get into the industry. This will be a unique opportunity for you to hear from a young alumni his own transformation from an average student to a confident and capable trader at a leading bank. So come and be inspired!
