our BSc students The Math department is proud to present a talk by our 06 alumni Mr. Jay Au, who will provide some insight into the world of global commodities trading and inter-exchange arbitrage. Jay holds a Double Major Master's degree in Financial Engineering and Risk Management and our Bachelor's degree in Mathematical Sciences. He is a commodities trader and London Metal Exchange market maker of Newedge’s Metals Group. He specializes in base metals trading on the London Metal Exchange and provides advice for corporate hedging, speculation and international arbitrage activities to major corporations, funds and institutions. Are you looking for a job or a career change after graduation? Jay will tell you what goes on in a typical trader’s daily life, how you can find a job in this industry, the skills necessary to thrive in this environment, as well as interview and job searching tips.
