Dear New Math Students,

We would like to invite you to join our Orientation and Afternoon Tea next Tuesday, Sept 14, 2021, 3:30 pm, which is a casual gathering and light meal welcoming you to the Department of Mathematics.

Instead of stumbling through the transition to life as a new Math/Stat major on your own, it is often more useful to seek advice from people with the knowledge and the experience. Which courses should you take? What is it like to be a Mathematics/Statistics major? Are there any internship/exchange opportunities? Our teachers will bring you a lot of useful information about our department.

You will also have a chance to meet and talk with your academic advisors, who will offer you much help in years to come. Last but not least, afternoon tea will be served, so don't miss out and come chit chat with us!
