The Centre for Mathematical Foundations of Artificial Intelligence (CMFAI) emphasizes the role of mathematics and statistics as a rigorous basis for artificial intelligence. Emphasis is placed on innovative or established computational mathematical and statistical techniques applied to artificial intelligence problems in a novel way, as well as new developments and problems in mathematics arising from these applications.
