There have existed many mathematical papers written in Chinese. To promote rapid communications between Chinese and western mathematicians, the High Education Press of China decides to publish a translated journal for mathematical research carried out by Chinese mathematicians.

This journal publishes high quality papers written by mathematicians in Chinese universities, which are written mostly in Chinese. The papers published within the same calender year will be chosen by the editorial board, and then will be translated by the authors and edited by the journal's office.

Subject areas include all branches in mathematics, including pure mathematics, applied mathematics, scientific computing, probability and statistics. Theoretical contributions and numerical simulations will be within the scope of the journal. The journal will also concentrate on the interaction between different fields of mathematics.
